Family Notes:

Only  son of Arthur William Bean (8 Jul 1890-21 Dec 1921) and his wife Lucy  Kemp (8 Feb 1891-14 Feb 1952) [m.16 Sep 1911 Hoveton,Norfolk]

His father had served with the Royal Engineers in WW1 having enlisted 8 Apr 1915 till he was demobbed 30 Apr 1919, serving in France, Belgium and Germany; suffered Gas poisoning at Arras.

His mother married twice more, being widowed twice, she was survived by her third husband.

Robert was brother to four sisters.

Robert Bean  became a father to a daughter in 1944.

 

Civilian Occupation:

Worked on a farm, and possibly later at an Engineering Company before military service.. 

Married:

Olive May Pegg (1921-2001) in 1944 North Walsham. His widow remarried MR F.F. Fuller in 1946 in Alby, Norfolk.

Died:

24  March 1945 aged 23

Reichswald Forest War Cemetery plot 40, row  B grave no.2 

Memorial:

Alby Church War Memorial, Norfolk
