D-day, was captured immediately apon landing and taken to the Kommando HQ. He escaped in the early morning and arrived at Le Mesnil by 0900. 




         Not all the cartoons were crafted by 'Carmichael', there were several cartoonists being published in the Sunday Post in the mid 1940's.
