son  of Thomas Martindale (1892-1952) and his wife Ethel Parsons [m.1918 Chorley, Lancs] 

brother of John (1919-1982), Donald (1923-) and Norman Parsons (1934-1992).

Father of at least 1 child, a daughter.

In March 1952, Charles, his wife and daughter sailed on the Esperence Bay from Melbourne Australia to Southampton. This probably due to the death of his father in Chorley.

Civilian Occupation:

Civil  engineer - consultant civil engineer on the construction of Warakei Geothermal Powerstation, North Island New Zealand and  Roxburgh hydro-electric power station amongst other projects in New Zealand.

Married:

1946  Mary Millicent Laund (1919-1986) in Chorley , Lancashire. She also died in New Zealand.
