His  body was interred at Château de Grangues, then later reinterred in 1945 at  Ranville  War Cemetery plot 5A, row D communal grave 3-8. after a war crimes investigation.

Named on the Grangues memorial stone at L'église de Notre Dame et de Saint Roch, Grangues, Calvados.

Misc:

He  was killed in the crash of a  Stirling IV aircraft, from 620 Squadron RAF Fairford, aircraft registration no. EF295J. The aircraft was hit by flak and caught fire, after several managed to jump out, the aircraft crashed in the grounds of the Château de Grangues.  All survivors of the crash were taken POW, except one who evaded capture. Of the POWs, some were executed, others survived and were liberated in 1945.
